3 days Bujumbura City Tour in Burundi which has got a pleasant climate that is characterized by soft and cool temperature. Mouth-watering tropical scenery is found within the region of the central plateau and the thousands of surrounding hills, as well as the depressions in the Eastern and North-Eastern part of Burundi. Burundi has many places of interest: from the Capital Bujumbura to the beautiful landscapes of Lake Tanganyika, Ruvubu and Kibira Forest and the Source of the Nile at Rutovu. These places boast of antelopes, hares, buffalos, cynocephalus and tropical and wild crocodile.
Day 1: Arrival at the Bujumbura airport
Upon arrival at the Bujumbura airport. You will be met, greeted by our driver guide and transferred to your hotel to check-in. Half day tours in Bujumbura, to visit the Snake & Culture Museum; the Explorers Memorial, the Islamic Culture Centre; City Hall; President’s Office and the main attraction of the city: Lake Tanganyika. Dinner and overnight at Club du Lac Tanganyika Hotel on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
Day 2: Visit Source of River Nile
Drive 120km to visit the site thought to be the true Source of the Nile at Rutovu. Return to Bujumbura in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Club du Lac Tanganyika Hotel on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
Day 3: Cultural Tour of Bujumbura
This morning, we visit the Explorers Memorial, a huge rock in the Suburbs of Bujumbura commemorating the meeting between explorers John Speke and Hanington. A visit to a local general goods market, the craft center and downtown Bujumbura. Head for lunch and later fly out.
